FRI 28-MAR-2008 (088) - MOBY Deployed
There is still a problem with the LuMID in the UV. LuMid is way to
low making the Kls calculated with LuMID too low or too high
in the UV. Lutop-Bot Kl still looks good.
The delta time in the FORTH LOGs is WAY OFF!!
MOBY is "dialing in" daily again!!
THU 17-APR-2008 (108) - Mark noticed the 22 hour integration times are not the same for red and blue spec.
TUE 29-APR-2008 (120) - The MOS pressure sensor changed from ~10 m to ~18 meters. We are not sure what happened.

Hi All,
Steve was able to get out to the MOBY mooring today (Wed, 5/14).
He performed a cleaning, took pictures and checked things out.
Everything looked good to Steve. He did say the currents were
very strong and the buoy was riding with a larger than normal tilt.
The currents were also very strong when Terry was last out there as
well, it could be we are in an extended period of strong currents.
None of this explains the excessively large depth readings. But we
do know the buoy and tether are not wrapped at this time.

Hi all,
I visited the MOBY site on 12 and 13 June 2008 with Steve and
Tyler from HRA. We found the buoy to be exceptionally clean and
in good condition. On the 12th we took pictures and performed
"dirty" cals, 2 Lu sets and 1 Ed set (the second Ed battery was bad).
The winds were quite strong on the 13th, in the 20 knot range, even
though the forecast was for variable winds, so we were only able
to do the cleaning and reinstall the anti-fouling tubes. I arranged
with Marco to connect via Internet to the MOBY Linux
controller to check disk space and collect some of the saved diagnostic information.
Marco had some concern that the Linux system could be filling the disk
more rapidly than predicted and wanted to connect to check the system
as a precaution. I was at the MOBY site on the 13th, right after his session,
to make sure the controller continued to cycle properly after he
disconnected or to restart the system if he had a problem. There were no
problems, the system functioned properly and the Linux system has
plenty of space for the entire deployment.

FRI 14-NOV-2008 (319) - While a NIST (2008_02, Nov 7-21) Mark noticed the LuMid fiber had pistoned into the connectors. This may help explain the UV problem.
